Naturopathy
The ultimate goal of Naturopathy is to find, and ideally eliminate, the root cause of a person's symptoms. 2 people could present to me with the same symptom, but the cause could be completely different. For example, one person's bloating could be caused by a food intolerance. Another person's bloating could be caused by the fact that they produce insufficient stomach acid to break down food. No 2 people are the same and that is why thorough and individualised investigation needs to be done to identify different reasons for the same symptoms. Naturopathy looks at the person as a whole, their food intake, their lifestlye, exercise, stress levels, attitude towards life, geopathic stress, environmental toxins, electromagnetic stress and it's impact etc. An individual treatment plan is devised using the Autonomic Response Testing and any other lab results, to cover the complete picture.
Nutrition
I use Autonomic Response Testing to see which foods are causing reactions in the body and to identify which ones are actually healing and strengthening for the body. Combining this information and the principles of Low Glycaemic eating, dietary recommendations are made.
Herbal Medicine
Herbs are almost always prescribed to support the body's own drainage via the liver, gall bladder, bowel, kidneys, lymph and skin. They are prescribed if there are acute infections, inflammation, colds, coughs etc. and to support the function of any organs or systems, such as adrenals in times of stress, the thyroid if it is either under or over-active, the brain if it needs help with concentration, the digestive system, the nervous system and the biliary system.
