Autonomic Response Testing (ART) is the most sensitive bio-feedback system used to date. It can detect stresses on the body when various substances are introduced near the client. It there is a stress response, it means that the thing that has been introduced is either IN the person (like a toxin or an infection), or it is causing a sensitivity/allergic-type reaction. In this way, ART can pick up things that are affecting the client, that wouldn't be picked up in most regular lab tests.

ART is not meant to diagnose. Instead, what is indicated, are stresses on the system.

These stresses can be linked to a number of things: (Dr Dietrich Klinghardt's 7 Factors) 

• Underlying, undetected infections
• Toxicity – for example - metals such as dental mercury and lead, PCB's etc
• Food intolerances
• Electromagnetic stress, geopathic stress, or other electrical interference fields
• Unresolved psychological trauma
• Nutritional deficiencies
• Emotional reversals (Emotional reversal means that the subconscious mind and conscious mind are in conflict and this is affecting your wellbeing. By synchronising them, healing can take place much more efficiently and effectively)

The goal of this holistic treatment is to take the stresses off the body by removing or avoiding the issues just mentioned. When these issues (i.e. infections, toxins, emotional reversals etc) are still in place, the body is in a constant state of being over-worked just to maintain normal bodily functions. When these issues (i.e. infections, toxins, emotional reversals etc) are stressing the Autonomic Nervous System, it is predominantly in a stressed state and doesn’t often switch into a relaxed state in which repairing, fighting infections and rebuilding take place.
